Introduction
As part of my volunteer role as Data & Insights Officer at Penny Brohn UK, I produced this simple demographics report for their Board of Trustees. The organisation transitioned to a new CRM in Spring 2025, enabling them to better track patient demographics, and this report summarises this data for a Trustee meeting. It highlights some suspected imbalances in the demographics of people who use their services, an insight that the organisation intends to action to improve their reach.
The version shown here uses synthetic data built to mirror the structure and patterns of the original whilst protecting client confidentiality.
The report provides a profile of the 1978 individuals registered as new Penny Brohn UK clients between 01 April 2025 and 01 April 2026, by visualising the breakdown of key demographic and clinical characteristics.

Because 10.7% of clients engage with activities through more than one channel, a separate hybrid category will be created. Each client belongs to only one channel (either Remote, Hybrid or In-Person).
